Talking Pester on The PowerShell Podcast

I was a guest on the July 13th episode of The PowerShell Podcast with Andrew Pla.
The episode, Write the Test First – Robert Prüst on Pester, PSConf, and Learning in Public, is now available!

You can listen or watch on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Podbean or Spotify. It’s just under an hour.

Andrew reached out and made this happen. It was a great experience for me to talk just about everything PowerShell… he made me feel very at ease and while I thought it might feel scripted or formal, it ended up being a very natural conversation.

We had discussed a few topics such as Pester and PSConfEU before that might be interesting to touch on, but besides that it was mostly a free-flowing conversation about PowerShell, testing, and community involvement. Sorry again if I kept rambling on, but it was a lot of fun!

One of the things that came up is the VS Code extension I built for Azure DevOps pipelines — more on that in its own post.

If the Pester part makes you want to start, my getting started with Pester post is the place to begin — and Pester 6 came out just the week before the episode.

Thanks again, Andrew, for having me!

Happy scripting 😊
